Maitland Watershed Partnerships
The goal of Maitland Watershed Partnerships is:

"To improve the long-term social, economic, and environmental health of the Maitland watershed".

The objectives are to:
  • Develop a better understanding of natural resource management
  • Identify innovative approaches for implementation of best management practices
  • Work together sharing knowledge and responsibilityBuild skills and resources of local organizations

To date 27 local organizations and agencies with an interest in natural resource

  • management have formed a steering committee representing, non-governmental,
  • business, industry and government sectors

The steering committee members formed three service teams around priority topics:

  • Agroecological Service Team - agricultural resources
  • Terrestrial Service Team - forest resources
  • Water Service Team - water resources
